Set in the foothills of Appalacia Mountains and less than 2 hours from Atlanta, immerse yourself in nature, take charge of your health through the lens of Ayurveda. 

Often referred to as yoga’s “sister science,” Ayurveda translates to “the science of life." It is one of the world’s oldest continually practiced natural healthcare systems and is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit. In this workshop, learn basic theory of Ayurveda's time tested wisdom as well as practical application to cultivate greater balance and harmony in your life when you are in right relationship with Nature's rhythms and primal energies or doshas.

  • Learn Ayurvedic Routines such as diet, lifestyle, rituals, yoga, meditation, breathwork to proactively support optimum health

  • Clarify your intention and expand your versatility as a yoga teacher as you explore when, why and how to use props in your own practice and with your students. Explore over 50 poses using common props such as blocks, straps, blankets, chairs and the wall and with the following learning objectives:

    Find sthira/sukham (steadiness and ease) and awaken areas of the body that lack consciousness

    Refine key actions of the pose

    Develop sequencing skills in progression and regression

    Create weekly class progressions for advancing postures such as backbends, inversions and balance poses

    Make your classes more accessible to a broader range of student levels

    Work with injuries or limitations

    Cultivate expansion

    Increase interoception

  • Yoga and Ayurveda Optimize Your Life and Enrich Your Practice:

    Yoga and Ayurveda are two sister sciences that originated in India thousands of years ago. Roughly translated, the Sanskrit word "yoga" means "union," and Ayurveda means "wisdom of life." Together, these two modalities provide a teleological view of the universe that supports maximum health, vitality and wellness. This immersion serves as an introduction to the science of Ayurveda and the many ways it can intersect with and enhance your yoga practice. Learn your unique body constitution and best practices for you and learn how you can use this knowledge as a yoga teacher to support your students. Eligible for 18 CEUs with Yoga Alliance.
